An open source protocol enabling autonomous AI agents to discover, communicate, and collaborate with each other regardless of their underlying framework or vendor. A2A addresses the coordination layer: how agents delegate tasks, share capabilities, and track outcomes. Note: The A2A effort merged with IBM's Agent Communication Protocol (ACP).
